Three things to know before you pay

An informed decisionDomain
  • A registered domain is not the same thing as a free one

  • The price here has nothing to do with the registration fee

  • Learn how the transfer works before you pay

You have to check these three yourself. Seemerce is not a party to the deal and does not verify listings.

Seemerce is not the seller of this listing and is not a party to the deal. Contact, agreement and payment happen directly between you and the seller, and the responsibility is yours.

A registered domain is not the same thing as a free one

Every domain you see here has an owner, and that owner has put it up for sale. If what you want is a name that is still free and you intend to register it yourself, your route is domain registration, which checks availability on the spot. For the ir extension there is a separate ir domain page.

We did not draw that line for no reason. In August 2026 we looked at the Google results for buy domain in Persian, and all ten of the top results were hosting companies registering free names. So when somebody writes that phrase, they almost always mean registering, not buying from an owner. If you are after the second one, you are in the right place.

The price here has nothing to do with the registration fee

A free ir domain costs a few tens of thousands of Toman a year. A domain you see here may be a hundred times that, and there is no contradiction: what you are buying is not the right to register, it is a name that is short, or means something, or has a history. Length, extension, and how many other people want that same name are what make the price.

Sellers tend to weight the length of the name too heavily and the extension too lightly. A five letter name on ir sells more easily in the Iranian market than the same name on an uncommon extension, even when the seller is certain their name is special. If you want to see the traits of a domain next to the prices of comparable listings, the domain traits tool shows exactly that.

Learn how the transfer works before you pay

Ownership of a domain does not move on a verbal promise. For ir it is done in the IRNIC panel by changing the holder and takes a few minutes; for international extensions you get a transfer code from the current registrar. We do not check the ownership of any domain and a listing is not a title deed, so look at the whois yourself before you pay. If you want to move the domain after buying it, we have explained domain transfer.

Six points for buying and selling a domain

We set four well-known marketplaces and the platforms' own rules beside this section.

1

Verify the claims

Flippa reserves the right to remove listings it cannot verify; Empire Flippers says it rejects most businesses before going live and gives users real data (Google Analytics and profit and loss).

With us Seemerce does not verify listings; you must check three things yourself before paying and the responsibility is yours.

2

Registered means not free

Sedo holds over 19 million entries and Afternic distributes domains across a network of registrars.

With us A registered domain is not the same as a free one.

3

Price is not the registration fee

Escrow.com lists domain names among the assets it covers.

With us The listing price has nothing to do with the registration fee.

4

Learn the transfer first

ICANN: for 60 days after registration or a transfer it cannot move again, and a registrar must supply the AuthInfo code within 5 days.

With us Learn how a domain transfer works before you pay.

5

Payment

Escrow.com has five steps: agree terms, buyer pays into escrow, seller delivers, buyer approves, escrow releases payment. Sedo names a neutral payment account.

With us We never sit in the middle of a payment. If anyone asks for a deposit in Seemerce's name, end it right there.

6

Fees and listing rank

Flippa writes an entry package from $29 and success fees from 5%.

With us Listing is free, deal commission is 0% and we do not sell the top of the list.
