  • Three things to look at before you pay

  • A limit you should know about

You have to check these three yourself. Seemerce is not a party to the deal and does not verify listings.

Seemerce is not the seller of this listing and is not a party to the deal. Contact, agreement and payment happen directly between you and the seller, and the responsibility is yours.

Ready-made templates are not sold here

We say this first because it is where the biggest misunderstanding sits. Search for a ready-made site and what comes up is template and script shops: a file you install and then start from zero. What changes hands in this section is a business that is already running, with a domain, content, traffic and customers. If you want a template you will not find one here, and if you want a new site, web design is what we do.

Three things to look at before you pay

The revenue and traffic figures in a listing are the seller word and we do not verify them. What actually means something is live access to Google Analytics and Search Console, not a screenshot. A screenshot can be made; sitting at that account and changing the date filter yourself cannot.

Second, where the traffic comes from. A site that gets eighty percent of its visits from one keyword is one algorithm update away from halving its revenue. Search Console shows you that in two minutes. Third, an exact list of what transfers: the domain, the content, an email list and a supplier contract each have to be written down separately, or they become an argument after the deal.

A limit you should know about

We do not estimate what a site is worth and we add no number of our own to a listing. The only thing we put next to it is the prices of comparable listings in this same market. For a site, even that says less than it does for a domain, because two sites with the same visit count can differ enormously in the quality of that traffic.

After buying, the first two jobs are usually the same: move it to your own hosting and close the doors that are open. We have written migrating a WordPress site to new hosting step by step, and website security is work we do ourselves.

Six points for buying and selling a website

We set four well-known marketplaces and the platforms' own rules beside this section.

1

Verify the claims

Flippa reserves the right to remove listings it cannot verify; Empire Flippers says it rejects most businesses before going live and gives users real data (Google Analytics and profit and loss).

With us Seemerce does not verify listings; you must check three things yourself before paying and the responsibility is yours.

2

Traffic and revenue

Empire Flippers offers access to Google Analytics and profit-and-loss statements for buyer due diligence.

With us Monthly visits are a filter; ask the seller for traffic and revenue evidence.

3

Ready-made templates are not sold

Empire Flippers lists only online businesses (such as Amazon and e-commerce).

With us Online businesses are listed here, not ready-made templates.

4

A limit you should know

Flippa says information must be verifiable.

With us We do not verify the listing and are not a party to the deal.

5

Payment

Escrow.com has five steps: agree terms, buyer pays into escrow, seller delivers, buyer approves, escrow releases payment. Sedo names a neutral payment account.

With us We never sit in the middle of a payment. If anyone asks for a deposit in Seemerce's name, end it right there.

6

Fees and listing rank

Flippa writes an entry package from $29 and success fees from 5%.

With us Listing is free, deal commission is 0% and we do not sell the top of the list.
