What Kindle actually is
Amazon launched the Kindle e-reader and its e-book store in 2007. Kindle is a device, an app and a store, the role Taaghche plays in Iran for Persian books.
What you pay and what you get
Books are bought one by one, or part of the catalog is read through Kindle Unlimited. The Kindle app is free and the e-reader is sold separately.
Where it is strong
The size of the English catalog and the e-ink reading experience are unmatched. Sync between phone and reader just works.
How it can improve, and what we could not verify
Books can only be read inside Amazon's ecosystem. The Kindle Store closed in China and is not accessible from Iran. We could not verify how many Persian titles the catalog holds.
