Udio: infrastructure with disabled download capacity
Udio still runs its song-generation pipeline, but since 29 October 2025 the download capability for audio, video and stems has been disabled, a change recorded in its own support documentation. For any workflow requiring deliverable output for a video or a client, this system is not functional in its current state, regardless of credit volume purchased.

Specification of the change
In the official document Udio published to explain the changes from the Universal deal, four improved parameters and one closing line are recorded. The improved parameters: a one-off grant of 1,000 non-expiring credits to every subscriber, the Standard monthly cap raised from 1,200 to 2,400, the Pro cap raised from 4,800 to 6,000, and Pro authorized to generate five concurrent song sets instead of four. The closing line: "note that downloading of audio, video and stems has been disabled."
That single line redefines the entire operational calculation. More credits means greater generation capacity; the generated output, however, stays confined within the service infrastructure. For a workflow requiring music for video or client delivery, the gap between a capacity of a thousand songs a month and zero output files a month is the gap between an operational tool and a novelty.
Credit and cap specifications
A free account is allocated 10 credits a day against a monthly ceiling of 100, and independent of available credit, its daily generation capacity is three two-minute songs. A Standard subscription carries a monthly ceiling of 2,400 credits and Pro a ceiling of 6,000. Every Create, Extend or Remix execution produces two songs: two 32-second songs cost two credits, and two 130-second songs cost four.
Subscription credits do not carry over, and if the subscription lapses, the account reverts to free-tier parameters. Credits purchased separately carry no expiration date.
Model specification, and the cause of the low ranking
The Warner-deal document states that during this transition period, the same v1, v1.5 and v1.5 Allegro models remain available. On the Artificial Analysis boards, the Udio v1.5 Allegro specification scores 967 on vocals and 954 instrumental, fourteenth of fifteen and sixteenth of eighteen. That gap runs roughly two hundred points behind Suno.
The cause is transparent: these models date to March 2025, while competitors have shipped two version cycles since. Udio has stated that its next-generation service will be built with Warner and Universal data and cooperation, but has published no deployment date, and this reference fabricates none.
Parameters that could not be extracted
Pricing. The Udio pricing page, its home page and its terms of service are all rendered entirely in JavaScript and return an empty body to our crawler infrastructure. Consequently, the existence of Standard and Pro plans and their credit ceilings is known, while their dollar cost is not. That is why the price cell for Udio is empty in the category table, and that emptiness carries no penalty beyond the vendor own non-disclosure.
