What Divar actually is
Divar is a classifieds site, not a store: it never sells anything itself, it just connects buyers and sellers. That model has made it one of Iran's most used sites for second-hand goods, home items, phones and general odds and ends.
What you pay and what you get
Price is entirely a matter of negotiation between two people, not a fixed rate. That makes Divar strong for buying below new-market prices, but there's no commission or service from Divar guaranteeing the item's condition.
Where it is strong
Divar's geographic coverage and listing volume in Iran are unmatched, and in-app chat makes deals easier than a cold phone call. For purchases where Basalam or Digikala would cost more, Divar is usually users' first stop.
How it can improve, and what we could not verify
The lack of any formal return or warranty process is Divar's biggest gap here. Delivery isn't standardized either, most deals happen in person. Divar does not publish verifiable figures on active listings or completed deals, so none is used in this review.
