The short answer
This tool tells you which keywords a domain is seen for in Google today. Its main use is setting a competitor list beside your own and finding the keywords they draw traffic from while you have no page for them at all.
The approach that really works: take the competitor list, pull out their spots four to fifteen and see which of those serve you. Those are the keywords the competitor is not planted firmly on either, so competing with a better page is realistic. Their spots one to three usually have years of investment behind them, and taking those is a separate project, not a single page.
Do not brush past the landing page column, because it is exactly where the competitor's content structure reveals itself. If ten related keywords all rank to one of their pages, they have built one comprehensive page and you should do the same, not ten small ones. If instead each keyword goes to its own page, the topic is large enough to split.
The keywords with both a high spot and a high CPC are the most valuable rows in this table and where to begin. A high CPC means somebody buys advertising for that exact keyword, and nobody pays for a keyword that brings no customers. A competitor who has won that keyword organically is picking up the same customer for free.
The output you receive
The exact meaning of each output column. Read this before your first run so you do not misread a value.
- Current rank
- Where that domain lands in Google results for that term, based on the provider's most recent data.
- Monthly volume
- The monthly search volume of that term.
- CPC
- The average advertising cost per click for that term.
The data source and method
The data is drawn from DataForSEO Labs with no tie to a particular country. It usually returns results for international domains; for mostly Persian or Iranian domains it is usually zero, which is not an error but a fact about this provider's coverage of Iran.
The situations where it helps
To surface the keywords that bring your competitor traffic while you still hold no rank on them.
Where it falls short
For domains that are mainly Persian and Iranian this tool usually returns zero, and we say so up front so you do not waste time and money. The cause is not a broken tool but data coverage: the database this list draws on does not cover Iran. For international domains it usually does return results. If your target is an Iranian domain, use link competitors instead, which works on link overlap and is not tied to location, or run the full Google results tool on the specific keywords that matter to you and see where the competitor sits on the page.
A lesson from working with it
When the output is empty, the message is not this domain ranks for nothing, it is we do not have the data, and those two are worlds apart. We do not fill the gap with a zero, because zero means we measured and found nothing, whereas the truth is we did not measure at all. If a tool hands you a full list for an Iranian domain, the first question is where it got the data.
What it costs
There is no monthly subscription. You raise the wallet balance, and the price of each run is written on the button before you press it; without a run there is no deduction.
Common questions about this tool
Why is the output empty for my Iranian site?
Because this tool's database does not cover Iran. It is a known provider limitation, and rather than filling it with a guessed number we leave it empty. For an Iranian domain use link competitors or the full Google results tool.
How is this different from site keywords?
This one says what the domain ranks for; that one says what it has content about. The second is far larger and carries no spots. To read the content line use that one, to see the real outcome use this one.
Can I see my own keywords with it?
Yes, enter your own domain. But if your site is Persian the same coverage limit applies here too. For your own real spots the rank tracker is the correct source, because it fetches the Google result for your keywords every day.
Keywords your site already ranks for, with position and estimated traffic.
One rule throughout: See fuses onto a word and makes a single new one, never two words side by side. Exactly as See and commerce became Seemerce.
