Doctolib launched in Paris in 2013 and became the main booking tool for doctors and hospitals in France. It does what Doctoreto does in Iran.

Patients pay nothing to book; Doctolib earns from doctors' subscriptions. The visit itself costs the normal practice fee.

Where it is strong

Finding an appointment fast and seeing free slots in real time removed the phone call to the practice. Reminders have cut no-shows.

How it can improve, and what we could not verify

It is not active outside France, Germany and Italy. There has been public debate about hosting health data on cloud infrastructure. We could not verify an up-to-date official count of active doctors per country.
